Udinese:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ronaldo Giovanelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Lucente, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. In the 100th minute, Diego Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galo do Japi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
