Jaime Frechoso was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Ituzaingó's players had a chance to rest. Emilian Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Marino in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Kaplan booed when Club Atlético Ituzaingó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Boni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Club Atlético Ituzaingó got a freekick which was hit by Ergün Asalet. Emilian Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Marino in the 29th minute of play. Victor Paskal's late challenge caught a Kaplan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Paskal helped the player get up and apologised. Victor Paskal kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Ituzaingó's goalkeeper Duarte de Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damião Granja. In the 46th minute Victor Paskal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paolo Marino to make the kick off. Kaplan's Emilian Martinez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Kaplan from getting a goal against them. Kaplan's Emilian Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Boni in the 54th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emilian Martinez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the last second Emilian Martinez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Victor Paskal in the 62ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Paskal in the 67th minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Armando Santirso in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte de Sena saved Club Atlético Ituzaingó from getting behind. Kaplan made a substitution. Gaspar Benat replaced Diego Armando Santirso. In the 75th match minute, Kaplan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domonkos Váczi to maneuver through the defense. Ramon Martino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Emilian Martinez made a huge save. When Ramon Martino came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Club Atlético Ituzaingó fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Martino couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Ituzaingó's Ramon Martino was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Emilian Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Frechoso in the 94th minute of the match. The Club Atlético Ituzaingó supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atlético Ituzaingó would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
