Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makis Kasmiris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Makis Kasmiris came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pity 31's Leon Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zico Zellier in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máximo Perrone to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Delmiro Donostia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nery Pumpido showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leon Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Clemente Fliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Zico Zellier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 23rd minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zico Zellier in the 23rd minute of play forced Pity 31's goalkeeper Leon Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Zico Zellier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when Pity 31 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Fliz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Clemente Fliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Orzaize. Leon Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zico Zellier in the 33rd minute of the match. GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Fliz in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Fliz in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nery Pumpido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmar Joanes in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Pity 31 defense, Zico Zellier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Santos. The Pity 31 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Santos should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Máximo Perrone to make the kick off. Pity 31's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Zico Zellier scored to the left of an out of position Leon Santos, making the score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Makis Kasmiris in the 58th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Makis Kasmiris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nery Pumpido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Pity 31 booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. GuateFortín made a substitution. Heriberto Correa replaced Angel Alvarenga. GuateFortín's Mario Gomez was substituted for Roberto Trotta. Leon Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máximo Perrone in the 71st minute of play. Delmiro Donostia scored 1-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nery Pumpido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pity 31's Luciano Porfirio was substituted for Benjamin Orzaize. Sven-Edvin Jansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GuateFortín had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
