When the match had gone on for 2 minutes, Cirilo Aballe took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mateo Jakue to make any attempt to save it. Esmeralda AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Roman Cidro scored to the left of an out of position Mateo Jakue, making the score, 2-0. 9 minutes into the game, Cirilo Aballe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mateo Jakue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mateo Jakue made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cirilo Aballe in the 16th minute. Albano Nazario hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Gogo Ricart's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mateo Jakue firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gogo Ricart took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Jakue. Mateo Jakue dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Cirilo Aballe took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Mateo Jakue to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Esmeralda AFC's Mateo Jakue got control of the ball when Cirilo Aballe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Roman Cidro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Fortín de Floresta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Cidro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When El Fortín de Floresta's Cirilo Aballe in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esmeralda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Mateo Jakue successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cirilo Aballe to make the kick off. A collision led to Esmeralda AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Albano Nazario hit a great ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Zeledon Gaizko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateo Jakue skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Esmeralda AFC's Aaron Fagildo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Mateo Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Aballe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Esmeralda AFC defense, Roman Cidro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateo Jakue. The Esmeralda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateo Jakue should have stopped the shot. Gogo Ricart took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateo Jakue. Mateo Jakue dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 65th match minute, Esmeralda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Cordaryal to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes of play, El Fortín de Floresta's Cirilo Aballe made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Jakue was left in no man's land by his defense there! El Fortín de Floresta's Leonel Lekubegi was substituted for Gogo Ricart. 80 minutes into the game, Zeledon Gaizko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Fortín de Floresta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esmeralda AFC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Zeledon Gaizko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Cirilo Aballe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Jakue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esmeralda AFC's Mateo Jakue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Aballe in the 86th minute of play. Mateo Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Fortín de Floresta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
