The audience was convinced that Aureliano Karlo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Armani was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 14th minute, Aureliano Karlo made a precise shot to the right of Jorge Armani. Esmeralda AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Banegas in the 17th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aureliano Karlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Aureliano Karlo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani. Jorge Armani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aureliano Karlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Zülfü Sungur came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roberto Eztebe could save by the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Aureliano Karlo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani. Jorge Armani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Jorge Armani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute of the match Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ got a corner. Esmeralda AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dawid Beckham ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Mario Sesuldo to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Armani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The wind increased when Andrew Dalli made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute David Banegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Karlo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes Esmeralda AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dawid Beckham who took care of the corner kick. Despite this Jorge Armani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 61 minutes into the match, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goal looked a bit too open when David Banegas came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Calvino in the 62nd minute of play. Romulo Abilio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jorge Armani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Julien Staffelbach was substituted for Aureliano Karlo. 69 minutes into the match, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Dalli came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Esmeralda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lê Yang. Julien Staffelbach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Julien Staffelbach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julien Staffelbach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberto Eztebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicasio Fonda in the 82nd minute of the match. Esmeralda AFC's Nicasio Fonda got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute Eloy Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Julien Staffelbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Calvino in the 89th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roberto Eztebe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Dalli in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's Julien Staffelbach sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Armani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Calvino in the 95th minute of play forced Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Esmeralda AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ's performance. The match ended with a win for Ⓕⓤⓢⓘⓞⓝ ⒻⒸ.
