Rejunte de perros's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Federico Eleazar ran over to the corner to take the kick. Carlos Cordarin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Tiso's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. SAN LORENZO FC were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Rejunte de perros's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Eleazar took the corner. The corner led SAN LORENZO FC's Federico Eleazar to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Cordarin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 11 minutes, Jorge Maurin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rejunte de perros and the SAN LORENZO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. SAN LORENZO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perry Eneto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Guido Errolan's late challenge caught a SAN LORENZO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Cordarin came out of the goal and Augusto Dalmai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 minutes of play, SAN LORENZO FC's Augusto Dalmai made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Cordarin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25thth minute of the game Eriberto Abeitia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rejunte de perros's Carlos Cordarin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto Dalmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Carlos Cordarin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Perry Eneto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Romelio. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Romelio should have stopped the shot. Ermegildo Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After the first half Rejunte de perros were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perry Eneto to make the kick off. If Eriberto Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Augusto Dalmai came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the SAN LORENZO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Dalmai couldn't finish the play. Augusto Dalmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Carlos Cordarin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rejunte de perros had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
