Cipriano Elazar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gerardo Romelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denis Silvanito charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Silvanito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denis Silvanito kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Teodoro Mosen fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zuberbühler FC's protests and gave Teodoro Mosen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Zuberbühler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Mosen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerardo Romelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Vargas in the 23rd minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Zuberbühler FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Montrelle. Elias Tiso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Elazar having to interfere. Cipriano Elazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Dalmai in the 30th minute of play. Zuberbühler FC's Cipriano Elazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Dalmai in the 33rd minute of play. Elias Tiso struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Cipriano Elazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO FC. Gerardo Romelio came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Zuberbühler FC's Wilfredo Vargas. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Vargas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gerardo Romelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodoro Mosen in the 45th minute. Ubaldo Jerardo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Vargas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Zuberbühler FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigio Egoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Tipi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cipriano Elazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zuberbühler FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Federico Eleazar was slow to take the kick. During this time SAN LORENZO FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on SAN LORENZO FC's corner Nereo Rodas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cipriano Elazar quite easily take care of the ball. Zuberbühler FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
