Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Barbosa in the 23rd minute of play forced Zuberbühler FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Dziedelonis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Florentino Lastur notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Orlando Gatti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes in the game, Vânderson Barbosa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Napoleon Dziedelonis having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Tristan got free with Napoleon Dziedelonis in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cecilio Tristan to strike the kick off in the second half. Zuberbühler FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saul Baumer in the 71st minute. After taking down the ball on Zuberbühler FC's corner Abelardo Nardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugo Orlando Gatti quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Nardo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Abuba Akotonon FC from getting behind. Napoleon Dziedelonis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Barbosa in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Min got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zuberbühler FC made a substitution. Jacinto Loramendi replaced Mariano Berart. In the 78th minute Zuberbühler FC were awarded a corner. Saul Baumer went to the cornerflag to take it. Zuberbühler FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saul Baumer in the 79th minute. The corner ended in Saul Baumer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti did a great save. Abelardo Nardo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. J.J Okocha made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rene Sanson immediately put the ball in play. Marciano Min could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. Napoleon Dziedelonis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Elivareo in the 96th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
