Viktor Lalkovič might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Saja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viktor Lalkovič ran back to his position shaking his head. Godofredo Rioja's late challenge caught a Cuervos AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godofredo Rioja helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cuervos AFC booed when Santos de Buenos Aires FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Chucho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Melendez having to interfere. Blas Burni kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Albino Aimar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Albino Aimar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santos de Buenos Aires FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Albino Aimar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th minute, one of Santos de Buenos Aires FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santos de Buenos Aires FC. Santos de Buenos Aires FC:s Diego Melendez showed great skill when he stopped Fermin Peli:s penalty. Lázaro Suárez struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Sebastian Saja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos de Buenos Aires FC. In the 97th match minute, Santos de Buenos Aires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Suárez to maneuver through the defense. After 99 played minutes Santos de Buenos Aires FC got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Suárez. Although Cuervos AFC had been in control for most of the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC still came away with the win.
