Diego Melendez came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Mónico Geller. But to his dismay, Mónico Geller quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mónico Gellers short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Diego Melendez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mónico Geller in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Lalkovič in the 19th minute of play forced San Lorenzo de Sarandi's goalkeeper Silverio Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Mónico Geller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diego Melendez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, San Lorenzo de Sarandi's Diego Melendez threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Delmar Abar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. San Lorenzo de Sarandi were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Santos de Buenos Aires FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fermin Astrada took the corner. The corner ended in Fermin Astrada almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mónico Geller managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo de Sarandi's supporters rose to their feet, but Mónico Geller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Melendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Mónico Geller reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Diego Melendez. The goal made the score 3-0.

Mónico Geller might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Melendez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mónico Geller ran back to his position shaking his head. Godofredo Rioja replaced Roque Mercury. In the 67th match minute, San Lorenzo de Sarandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Dabi to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the San Lorenzo de Sarandi players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
