The supporters of ŠK Horelica booed when FC Fanaticii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Apostu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihai Măliță succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. Matej Tomka hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Mihai Măliță dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erik Vajda, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in ŠK Horelica's zone, Mihai Măliță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Vajda came out of the goal and Mihai Măliță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Mihai Măliță came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the FC Fanaticii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihai Măliță couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gică Curcă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mihai Măliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Vajda having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of ŠK Horelica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Fanaticii:s goal. ŠK Horelica:s Erik Vajda showed great skill when he stopped Eric Apostu:s penalty. Erik Vajda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihai Măliță in the 58th minute of the match. During the 59th minute of the match Eric Apostu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eric Apostu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 60 played minutes FC Fanaticii got a freekick which was hit by Eric Apostu. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Florin Pruneda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute Mihai Măliță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Vajda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mihai Măliță hit a great ball. If Gabriel Sapár had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ŠK Horelica's Matej Tomka got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 78th match minute, FC Fanaticii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Comăneci to maneuver through the defense. ŠK Horelica's Gabriel Sapár got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moise Corduneanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Erik Vajda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, ŠK Horelica's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Măliță came free, but Erik Vajda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute Mihai Măliță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Vajda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Fanaticii's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
