In the 12th match minute, ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Czarnecki to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th match minute, Vasco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goalkeeper Wellington Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iwan Gall. Jairo Tinoco charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Tinoco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wellington Barbosa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Iwan Gall. A collision led to ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Edward Solak hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael de Medeiros came free, but Tanek Polakowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tiago Gabriel Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tanek Polakowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Vasco FC's Wellington Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaroslaw Debkowski in the 36th minute of play. Raphael de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Polakowski having to interfere. Wellington Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaroslaw Debkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Veloso came free, but Tanek Polakowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiago Gabriel Mesquita got free with Tanek Polakowski in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iwan Gall came free, but Wellington Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaroslaw Debkowski in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Zygmunt Bugno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 68 minutes of play, Vasco FC's Jonas Veloso made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tanek Polakowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ were awarded a corner. Iwan Gall went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Iwan Gall got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wellington Barbosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonas Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tanek Polakowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Denílson Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Vasco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denílson Ramalho couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Edward Solak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco FC's Tadeu Botelho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tanek Polakowski but with some difficulty. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita's late challenge caught a ＢＡＢＡ　ＹＡＧＡ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vasco FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
