The supporters of Deportivo Ortegano booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Coronado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasco Rovira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho da Silveira in the 8th minute of play. Osvaldo Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Pamanes in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Yuri Alberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAZER SAF and the Deportivo Ortegano players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho da Silveira in the 15th minute of play forced Deportivo Ortegano's goalkeeper Vasco Rovira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Valdomiro Amorim got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the MAZER SAF defense, Bakar Armental kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Marques. The MAZER SAF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Marques should have stopped the shot. When Luiz Fabiano Abraão fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MAZER SAF's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano Abraão a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldo Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotero Besga in the 30th minute of play. Jarbas Borges did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Vasco Rovira 33 minutes into the match. Gelmiro Bachicabo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Serafino Berria hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 39 played minutes, MAZER SAF's Jarbas Borges shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vasco Rovira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MAZER SAF reached it. 42 minutes into the game, Yuri Alberto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vasco Rovira. Yuri Alberto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Pamanes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Deportivo Ortegano's Jacinto Pamanes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Jones Ice-Cream Guobadia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Osvaldo Marques firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Gelmiro Bachicabo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Ortegano's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelmiro Bachicabo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Marques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarbas Borges in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vasco Rovira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When MAZER SAF's Bernardinho Cunha in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo Ortegano's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th minute of the match MAZER SAF got a corner. Deportivo Ortegano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarbas Borges ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bernardinho Cunha made a great header on MAZER SAF's corner, it was just that Deportivo Ortegano's Vasco Rovira managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the Deportivo Ortegano defense, Bernardinho Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vasco Rovira. The Deportivo Ortegano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vasco Rovira should have stopped the shot. Adriano Rosa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Vasco Rovira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Vasco Rovira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Cunha in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Vianna came free, but Vasco Rovira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Jarbas Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MAZER SAF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Ortegano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MAZER SAF.
