Melquiades Gaztea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Édouard Mendy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justo Gomesano, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Justo Gomesano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After a rather tough play, 刀モ尸ロ尺イﾉレロ イﾉG尺モら™'s Modesto Cordareo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Al-Fajuth's Édouard Mendy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Truylos in the 23rd minute of play. Rômulo Soares took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melquiades Gaztea. Melquiades Gaztea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Léo Ortiz hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes Al-Fajuth got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Soares. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when 刀モ尸ロ尺イﾉレロ イﾉG尺モら™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, 刀モ尸ロ尺イﾉレロ イﾉG尺モら™'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Alagoano came free, but Melquiades Gaztea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Justo Gomesano was the one to do the kick off. Justo Gomesano might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Édouard Mendy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justo Gomesano ran back to his position shaking his head. Melquiades Gaztea made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Eliseu Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of 刀モ尸ロ尺イﾉレロ イﾉG尺モら™ booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al-Fajuth's Carlos Marinho was substituted for Teodoro Massa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Matorin in the 61st minute of play forced 刀モ尸ロ尺イﾉレロ イﾉG尺モら™'s goalkeeper Melquiades Gaztea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd play minute Rômulo Soares came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Melquiades Gaztea. 1-3. Melquiades Gaztea was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Maicon Zanette. In the 93rd minute of the match, Rômulo Soares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Melquiades Gaztea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Al-Fajuth had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
