Édouard Mendy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 de Mayo's Fabiano Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Alagoano in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Al-Fajuth booed when 27 de Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisão Tande was the one to do the kick off. The 27 de Mayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 78 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Soares came free, but Fabiano Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseu Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Fabiano Romero made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
