The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Emílio Lendaa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edelmiro Matei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Edelmiro Matei came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Jataiense Futebol Clube's Emílio Lendaa. But to his dismay, Emílio Lendaa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-3 when William Mineiro sped through Manchester City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edelmiro Matei. The Jataiense Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Jataiense Futebol Clube's Pipo Inzaghi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edelmiro Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipo Inzaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Arturo Polentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Sem Titulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipo Inzaghi in the 24th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Edelmiro Matei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-5 became the score in the 24th minute when Pipo Inzaghi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Arturo Polentzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Sem Titulescu made a huge save. Sem Titulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Polentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robustiano Formerio during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Formerio. In the 39th minute Emílio Lendaa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edelmiro Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipo Inzaghi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sem Titulescu made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when 徐坤扬 sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 徐坤扬 in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sem Titulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 徐坤扬 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Pipo Inzaghi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edelmiro Matei. Edelmiro Matei yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Manchester City's Edelmiro Matei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute Pipo Inzaghi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sem Titulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 徐坤扬 in the 62nd minute of play. Manchester City's Mariano Haedo was substituted for Teofilo Montrelle. Manchester City's Albino Frichoso was substituted for Sixto Rik. Edelmiro Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edelmiro Matei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Urbes in the 73rd minute of the match. Jataiense Futebol Clube made a substitution. Gualter Gulak replaced Emílio Lendaa. Fidel Lauro made in the 77th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which 徐坤扬 however managed to control. 78 minutes into the match, Jataiense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when 徐坤扬 came free, but Sem Titulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Candido Urbes got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Candido Urbes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Matei. Manchester City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Candido Urbes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After some careless play in the Manchester City defense, Candido Urbes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Matei. The Manchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Matei should have stopped the shot. The Jataiense Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jataiense Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
