The crowd rose to their feet as Castanheiro SC's Umberto Dionísio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique Belasko. That made the score 1-0 after 2 minutes of play. After 5 played minutes Galáctico Azul FC™ got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Xabel. Enrique Belasko was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anísio Alagoano. Enrique Belasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Alagoano in the 7th minute of the match. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Magdaleno in the 10th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Célio Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanheiro SC and the Galáctico Azul FC™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Célio Vianna got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Eulalio Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Luisinho Seco hit a great ball. If Gaspar Magdaleno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Dionísio in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Belasko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21st play minutes Umberto Dionísio shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Enrique Belasko and just under the crossbar into goal. Generoso Michael kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Anísio Alagoano's late challenge caught a Galáctico Azul FC™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anísio Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 31 minutes, Umberto Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanheiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Dionísio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute Gaspar Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Galáctico Azul FC™ booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Magdaleno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedrinho Guimarães was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Pedrinho Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Magdaleno in the 39th minute of play. Enrique Belasko was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Anísio Alagoano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anísio Alagoano really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But to his dismay, Mauro Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Umberto Dionísio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Belasko having to make a save. In the 80th minute Benedito Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Belasko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Galáctico Azul FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Mineiro came free, but Enrique Belasko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Benedito Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Belasko was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Benedito Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Enrique Belasko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Célio Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
