The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christian Proença scored 3-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Ferraz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Imbituba - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nico Rodrigues in the 18th minute. A nice corner shot did that Nico Rodrigues got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodoro Ferraz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Christian Proença took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Ferraz. Teodoro Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 27th minute Tadeu Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Christian Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Ferraz was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovani Dantas during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Geovani Dantas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Vítor Saraiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The wind increased when Christian Proença made the kick off in the second half. When Christian Proença came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Imbituba - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Proença couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Proença in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Ferraz saved Jumeuc Futebol Clube from getting behind. After 62 played minutes Imbituba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Nascimento. Vítor Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Saldanha in the 67th minute of play. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Melo in the 69th minute. But to his dismay, Tadeu Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Teodoro Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Proença in the 74th minute of play. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Vítor Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Imbituba - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Luisão Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Christian Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imbituba - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Marcinho Carioca was substituted for Tope Ponta. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Vítor Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Prestes in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jumeuc Futebol Clube defense, Christian Proença kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodoro Ferraz. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Ferraz should have stopped the shot. Imbituba - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
