Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Haroldo Lopes got a free kick in the 5th minute. Vítor Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Machado in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Hyuga to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Delfim Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Imbituba - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nico Rodrigues took the corner. The corner ended in Nico Rodrigues almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Delfim Dantas did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Hyuga got free with Vítor Saraiva in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd match minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klei Berson to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Nico Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Steve Hyuga hit a great ball. Thiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Saraiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Steve Hyuga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Vítor Saraiva made a huge save. In the 37th minute Coritiba Foot Ball Club were awarded a corner. Fiori Tasso went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Coritiba Foot Ball Club's corner Fiori Tasso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Saraiva quite easily take care of the ball. In the 39th minute, Steve Hyuga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Machado in the 44th minute of the match. Dorel Ilinca charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorel Ilinca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Ilinca.
In the 52nd match minute, Coritiba Foot Ball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steve Hyuga to maneuver through the defense. Geovani Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Steve Hyuga in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the match, Caetano Ponta notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Imbituba - FSCMZ's Vítor Saraiva. Vítor Saraiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Caetano Ponta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vítor Saraiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Thiago Machado took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Saraiva. Vítor Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Imbituba - FSCMZ's Vítor Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Machado in the 75th minute of play. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Imbituba - FSCMZ made a substitution. Marcinho Carioca replaced Tope Ponta. In the 87th minute, Thiago Machado made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Saraiva. Imbituba - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After some careless play in the Imbituba - FSCMZ defense, Steve Hyuga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Saraiva. The Imbituba - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Saraiva should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute Christian Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Coritiba Foot Ball Club fully deserved thier win.
