Valérien Jouglet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alfred Wolczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Valérien Jouglet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astral Roots Gdynia's goalkeeper Barnaba Cieliczka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Astral Roots Gdynia's goalkeeper Barnaba Cieliczka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martial Jay. A collision led to Astral Roots Gdynia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Marian Serwach hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Adam Belon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Wolczewski in the 17th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Valérien Jouglet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Czeslaw Okropny scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valérien Jouglet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Okropny in the 28th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Valérien Jouglet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Kacper Zbydniowski made a precise shot to the right of Valérien Jouglet. Stade Ygossais's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, Astral Roots Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Belon came free, but Barnaba Cieliczka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Okropny came free, but Valérien Jouglet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kacper Zbydniowski took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valérien Jouglet. After having played for 42 minutes, Czeslaw Okropny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astral Roots Gdynia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Czeslaw Okropny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Czeslaw Okropny came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Astral Roots Gdynia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Czeslaw Okropny couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Marian Serwach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valérien Jouglet. Stade Ygossais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marian Serwach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After the first half Astral Roots Gdynia were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martial Jay to strike the kick off in the second half. Valérien Jouglet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomir Klewinski in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Radomir Klewinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet got control of the ball when Kacper Zbydniowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valérien Jouglet was a little too slow when Kacper Zbydniowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Kacper Zbydniowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astral Roots Gdynia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kacper Zbydniowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valérien Jouglet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valérien Jouglet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Klewinski in the 69th minute of play. Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Okropny in the 70th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Astral Roots Gdynia's Valérien Jouglet threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Czeslaw Okropny, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74th minute, Hector Jacquier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radomir Klewinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valérien Jouglet having to interfere. Hector Jacquier hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Radomir Klewinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valérien Jouglet was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kacper Zbydniowski in the 84th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Valérien Jouglet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stade Ygossais's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Czeslaw Okropny scored to the left of an out of position Valérien Jouglet, making the score, 0-7. With a little luck, Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet got control of the ball when Alfred Wolczewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96thth minute of the game Radomir Klewinski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stade Ygossais's Valérien Jouglet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Czeslaw Okropny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
