The audience was convinced that Bartosz Figlewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Reitan was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Jon-Egil Gjelsvik hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Beatriz 08 booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Zahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Åsnes's zone, Rui Eanes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Reitan came out of the goal and Rui Eanes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Rui Ferrão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Beatriz 08's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Ferrão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Karl Zahl made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute of the match Rafael Pereira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Reitan skillfully saved the ball. In the 51st match minute, FC Beatriz 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Semedo to maneuver through the defense.
