After 5 played minutes IKS Norrköping got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Åman. With his leg Michael Neels managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when IKS Norrköping's Tobias Ekeberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Michael Neels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Ekeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Arvid Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harrie Van Havent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the match, IKS Norrköping's goal looked a bit too open when Harrie Van Havent came free, but Arvid Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. IKS Norrköping's Arvid Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harrie Van Havent in the 34th minute of play. Lars Sörman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Neels having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, IKS Norrköping's goal looked a bit too open when Richy Van Boeckost came free, but Arvid Sandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes in the game Lennart Åman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Yu Jing Bin. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Harrie Van Havent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Arvid Sandberg made a huge save. With a little luck, IKS Norrköping's Arvid Sandberg got control of the ball when Harrie Van Havent tried to sneak it across the goal line. Karl-Ove Lägdin ran over to the corner to take the kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Purple Talents players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for IKS Norrköping.
