When Matei Onaca came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Stiinta-Univ. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matei Onaca couldn't finish the play. Christoffer Jørgensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Pânzaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After some careless play in the Stiinta-Univ. defense, Kim Alnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Hârșu. The Stiinta-Univ. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Hârșu should have stopped the shot. After 72 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Avram Seremet. Åsnes's Jack Huse shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Denis Hârșu but with some difficulty.
