The corner led Olympique Fribourg's Matthias Bettinelli to fire away a dangerous shot which Petre Irod despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Paolo Bur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Macarie in the 83rd minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Hampton Schmidiger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympique Fribourg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delphine Stars the free kick. After 90 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Hampton Schmidiger. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Delphine Stars fans cheered their team off the field, for while Olympique Fribourg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
