Kalpanatha Varma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Rijo having to interfere. Laureano Rijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Delgado in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jiang Qing Lin in the 38th minute of play forced A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalkeeper Laureano Rijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Meira made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kalpanatha Varma. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Laureano Rijo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The crowd rose to their feet as Jonas Garcia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mike van Kampen. That made the score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. If Joaquim Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Rijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalpanatha Varma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalpanatha Varma in the 64th minute of play forced A.D.ESMOJÃES's goalkeeper Laureano Rijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of A.D.ESMOJÃES booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matos Velhos made a substitution. Henrique Candal replaced Heigo Luiga. Matos Velhos's Sabino Vilhena was substituted for Kalpanatha Varma. Jonas Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Mike van Kampen made a huge save. A.D.ESMOJÃES's Laureano Rijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Palmeira in the 74th minute of play. Laureano Rijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Delgado in the 77th minute of the match. If Henrique Candal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Bulhosa kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a little luck, Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen got control of the ball when Eduardo Bulhosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sabino Vilhena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laureano Rijo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabino Vilhena, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
