The corner led SC Braga's Alberto Malheiro to fire away a dangerous shot which Valentin Bujor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. SC Braga's attentive Dominik Bartelak managed to snatch the ball when Almiro Medeiros made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. Zigmantas Gimbutas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Bujor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutas scored 1-0 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valentin Bujor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Bujor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 34th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Bujor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Edgar Figari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Adán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Peralta in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match D.P.Aarburg got a corner. SC Braga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicu Ilieș ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Navarro in the 47th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Antonio Adán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Peralta to make the kick off. Emanuel Isias got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Xavier Vilar. In the 58th minute, Xavier Vilar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of D.P.Aarburg booed when SC Braga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominik Bartelak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Bujor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edgar Figari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes D.P.Aarburg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alberto Malheiro who took care of the corner kick. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind D.P.Aarburg's goalkeeper Valentin Bujor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Bujor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Braga's Dominik Bartelak quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Almiro Medeiros, made in the 79th minute of the game.
