The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolaas Anelka got free with Qiu Chuan Ran in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Éder Palma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Rijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Ubelteso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 周平荣 hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Raimundo Ventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Rijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Bulhosa in the 22nd minute of the match. Israel Carvalhal kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, A.D.ESMOJÃES's Éder Palma broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Laureano Rijo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Lixandro's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Bulhosa in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Jonas Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Lixandro scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laureano Rijo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Garcia in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venedikt Ukraintsev to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Jonas Garcia made the kick off in the second half. Gonzalo Lixandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Laureano Rijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Lixandro in the 64th minute of play. Laureano Rijo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonzalo Lixandro's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Qiu Chuan Ran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Bulhosa in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Jonas Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Chuan Ran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raimundo Ventura in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laureano Rijo saved A.D.ESMOJÃES from getting behind. 75 minutes into the match, A.D.ESMOJÃES's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Lixandro came free, but Laureano Rijo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Lixandros short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Laureano Rijo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when A.D.ESMOJÃES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Póvoas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Bernard Perathoner was substituted for Israel Carvalhal. In the 83rd minute, Israel Póvoas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonzalo Lixandro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Laureano Rijo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Qiu Chuan Ran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolaas Anelka, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Qiu Chuan Ran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Bulhosa in the 89th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gonzalo Lixandro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Rijo was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Eduardo Bulhosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Jonas Garcia made a precise shot to the right of Qiu Chuan Ran. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
