An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Valadão in the 29th minute of play forced Pinhote FC's goalkeeper Ni Guang Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Imre Hellinger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinhote FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Imre Hellinger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leal Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoltán Tálas in the 33rd minute of play. Leal Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Imre Hellinger, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. KINGS FC's Leal Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Imre Hellinger in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by KINGS FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. John Beton was slow to take the kick. During this time Pinhote FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Pinhote FC's Imre Hellinger to fire away a dangerous shot which Leal Simões despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Pinhote FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Tálas came free, but Ni Guang Yong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ni Guang Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jānis Blūms in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Imre Hellinger to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Ceresso notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of KINGS FC's Leal Simões. Leal Simões was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
