Manuel Isăilă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferenc Tököli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rómeó Lukaku got free with Aurel Crivoi in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Manuel Isăilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Tököli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferenc Tököli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Isăilă's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Romania's Manuel Isăilă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferenc Tököli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romania's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 78 played minutes Romania got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Isăilă. Hungary's Ferenc Tököli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute Romania were awarded a corner. Isac Zub went to the cornerflag to take it. Romania's Manuel Isăilă was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 81st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aurel Crivoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pál Polyák, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
