Cheng Xiong Yuan made in the 8th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Linköpings AIK's Johan Johansson. Aquiles Senio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Badanowski in the 10th minute of play. The corner ended in Andrzej Badanowski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dionisia's Aquiles Senio did a great save. With an all-out effort, Dionisia's Jimmy Olsson threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Konstanty Poniewaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Melchor Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dionisia's supporters rose to their feet, but Melchor Gregory was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmy Olsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dionisia's goalkeeper Aquiles Senio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Gregory in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Konstanty Poniewaz came free, but Jimmy Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Erik Lundqvist. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Gregory in the 36th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquiles Senio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Badanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Aquiles Senio came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Johan Johansson. But to his dismay, Johan Johansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Marbjörn Garpsson hit a great ball. Andrzej Badanowskis short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Aquiles Senio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Chano in the 65th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Andrzej Badanowski took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Aquiles Senio to make any attempt to save it. Dionisia's Arnaldo Beturian was substituted for Konstanty Poniewaz. Dionisia's Denis Ereinotz was substituted for Melchor Gregory. 79 minutes into the match, Dionisia's Arnaldo Beturian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmy Olsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johan Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Senio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Linköpings AIK's Willy Witarya got a free kick in the 85th minute. Andrzej Badanowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Senio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Tomás Xacintu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fabrício Castanheira made in the 95th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Andrzej Badanowski immediately put the ball in play. The Linköpings AIK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Linköpings AIK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
