Szymon Skonieczny started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Real Olivos FC's Salomon Sendeño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nichifor Nicolae narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Victor Piţurcă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Piţurcă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damián Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manu Arrascarate made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Szymon Skonieczny however managed to control. Damián Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 13th minute of play. Damián Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Piţurcă's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damián Fernandez. Real Olivos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Piţurcă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Real Olivos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Alexandrescu came free, but Damián Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Emerald's Nichifor Nicolae got control of the ball when Adolfo Arzola tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Victor Piţurcă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damián Fernandez was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Olivos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sandu Goșa was slow to take the kick. During this time Emerald's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sandu Goșa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damián Fernandez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Damián Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Victor Piţurcă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Damián Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Emerald were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Real Olivos FC's Damián Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosmin Enigărescu in the 52nd minute of play. Nichifor Nicolae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szymon Skonieczny, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Real Olivos FC's Szymon Skonieczny in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Emerald's goalie prevented a goal. After 62 minutes of play, Real Olivos FC's Szymon Skonieczny made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nichifor Nicolae was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nichifor Nicolae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Arzola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Piţurcă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Damián Fernandez made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Andrei Alexandrescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damián Fernandez. Real Olivos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrei Alexandrescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Nichifor Nicolae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Szymon Skonieczny in the 92nd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Emerald eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
