Herminio Florinio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vintilă Cârneci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Denis Paulin made a huge save. Gustavo Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Ferrer in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Riquelme came free, but Gustavo Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Herminio Florinio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Teofilo Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Club Deportivo Águila's Herminio Florinio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denis Paulin. Denis Paulin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dário Diniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Águila from getting a goal against them. Defensores de Lombroso's Elian Müller was substituted for Ubaldo Gelacio. After having played for 61 minutes, Dário Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Dário Diniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Paulin was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After 91 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Roman Riquelme. Juan Simon made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Roman Riquelme however managed to control. Dário Diniz scored 4-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Paulin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Dário Diniz notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin. Denis Paulin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Defensores de Lombroso's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
