Rogelio Hanni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateusz Matusiak in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Oscar Cruz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacksonville 67 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to 1461 Trabzon getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cesur Yesar hit a great ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacksonville 67's goalkeeper Rogelio Hanni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Cruz in the 23rd minute of play forced 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Ender Tanacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Mateusz Matusiak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1461 Trabzon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateusz Matusiak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogelio Hanni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateusz Matusiak in the 33rd minute of the match. Despite this Ender Tanacan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Cruz in the 58th minute of play forced 1461 Trabzon's goalkeeper Ender Tanacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, 1461 Trabzon's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Cruz came free, but Ender Tanacan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when King Batistuta got free with Ender Tanacan in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogelio Hanni came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by 1461 Trabzon's Mateusz Matusiak. But to his dismay, Mateusz Matusiak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ender Tanacan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burak Öz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Rogelio Hanni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateusz Matusiak in the 74th minute of the match. Ender Tanacan made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when King Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Oscar Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ender Tanacan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1461 Trabzon made a substitution. After a rather tough play, Jacksonville 67's King Batistuta got a free kick in the 87th minute. Burak Öz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes, Pieter Harmens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jacksonville 67 and the 1461 Trabzon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Jacksonville 67 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieter Harmens to maneuver through the defense. King Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Ender Tanacan made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Mateusz Matusiak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Hanni was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Neither 1461 Trabzon or Jacksonville 67 succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.
With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Mateusz Matusiak in 1461 Trabzon was the one to initiate the kick off. After 101 minutes, Mateusz Matusiak made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jacksonville 67's Rogelio Hanni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The 1461 Trabzon support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
