In the 18th minute, Witold Bycofski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Suryo Zaelani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Suryo Zaelani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witold Bycofski in the 23rd minute of play. Witold Bycofski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Suryo Zaelani having to make a save. Suryo Zaelani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Kuszczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 35th minute, Zdzislaw Rydzewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, U21 Poland's André Onana got control of the ball when Anak Junior tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Poland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jérémy Špokas was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Indonesia's players had a chance to rest. In the 39th minute, Jakub Kuszczak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Igor Andrychowski in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Indonesia's Udin Simanjuntak. The U21 Indonesia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Poland were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jakub Kuszczak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to U21 Poland getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Fitrah Bagjanata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Onana having to make a save. After a rather tough play, U21 Indonesia's Anak Junior got a free kick in the 65th minute. U21 Poland's Federico Chiesa was substituted for Radowit Kissel. U21 Poland made a substitution. Grzegorz Czerwinski replaced Witold Bycofski. A collision led to U21 Indonesia getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Anak Junior hit a great ball. When Jakub Kuszczak came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the U21 Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakub Kuszczak couldn't finish the play. Suryo Zaelani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Kuszczak in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Jakub Kuszczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakub Kuszczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Suryo Zaelani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Kuszczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Udin Simanjuntak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of U21 Indonesia booed when U21 Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Boniek didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Poland's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
