The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marciano Ubelteso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 3rd playminute. 6 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's Marciano Ubelteso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Filiberto Jordy came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the C. A. Potrero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filiberto Jordy couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Ubelteso got free with Arnoldo Kismi in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marciano Ubelteso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Arnoldo Kismi made a huge save. Santiago Izotz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnoldo Kismi. C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Marciano Ubelteso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 32 in the game by Marciano Ubelteso from a close distance when the talented Arnoldo Kismi managed to make a qualified save. C. A. Atlanta's players were relieved. With a little luck, C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi got control of the ball when Marciano Ubelteso tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Marciano Ubelteso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnoldo Kismi, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Ubelteso to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marciano Ubelteso in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnoldo Kismi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Santxol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregorio Benat was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Alejo Nerio kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Marciano Ubelteso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Arnoldo Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Braulio Berasko during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Braulio Berasko got a free kick in the 96th minute. C. A. Potrero's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
