Poland's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Marinho in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Marinho in the 14th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fernando Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Poland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The FC ICEWIND DALE fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when FC ICEWIND DALE's Fernando Marinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Edward Traczewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damazy Joks made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC ICEWIND DALE's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Joks came free, but Kuno Lüdimõis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Damazy Joks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuno Lüdimõis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poland made a substitution. Tadeusz Raschke replaced Damian Majewski. Poland's Grzegorz Soszka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kaká Vieira in the 69 minute of the game. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Marinho in the 72nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Poland defense, Fernando Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Boruc. The Poland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Boruc should have stopped the shot. FC ICEWIND DALE's Wincent Debowski was substituted for Boguslaw Zdeb. Poland were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after FC ICEWIND DALE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Radomil Michnik took the corner. FC ICEWIND DALE's Kuno Lüdimõis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damazy Joks in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Dobromir Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, FC ICEWIND DALE's Dobromir Borcz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Artur Boruc. Artur Boruc yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5.
