Clemente Clemente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scragbadun FC's Luiz Fernando Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wander Suzanne in the 11th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Primo Dunđer. In the 13th minute of the match Cícero Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clemente Clemente skillfully saved the ball. Wander Suzanne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlotte FC's Antoine Hankins got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charlotte FC's Clemente Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Custódio in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Björn Magnusson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wander Suzanne came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luiz Fernando Catarinense could save by the left post. After 27 minutes Scragbadun FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wander Suzanne who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Charlotte FC's Wander Suzanne to fire away a dangerous shot which Luiz Fernando Catarinense despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luiz Fernando Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Kareem Stoddard sent off a good shot on target. Luiz Fernando Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Wander Suzanne sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 34 minutes, Björn Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlotte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Björn Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Magnusson in the 35th minute of play forced Scragbadun FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antoine Hankins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Catarinense made a huge save. After some careless play in the Scragbadun FC defense, Björn Magnusson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Catarinense. The Scragbadun FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Catarinense should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute, Björn Magnusson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luiz Fernando Catarinense. The goal made the score 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Custódio to make the kick off. Björn Magnusson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. 52 minutes into the game, Diguinho Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scragbadun FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlotte FC the free kick. Diguinho Brito hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Björn Magnusson in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute Wander Suzanne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Wander Suzanne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Magnusson in the 66th minute of the match. Augusto Custódio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Clemente Clemente skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kaja Jamak took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fernando Catarinense. Luiz Fernando Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Luiz Fernando Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaja Jamak in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Charlotte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kareem Stoddard to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fernando Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wander Suzanne in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fernando Catarinense saved Scragbadun FC from getting behind. Luiz Fernando Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Magnusson in the 81st minute of the match. After 82 played minutes Scragbadun FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Cordeiro. When Wander Suzanne came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Charlotte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wander Suzanne couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Scragbadun FC defense, Wander Suzanne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Catarinense. The Scragbadun FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Catarinense should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Kareem Stoddard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fernando Catarinense. Scragbadun FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kareem Stoddard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 94th minute, Cícero Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Charlotte FC fully deserved thier win.
