Volodymyr Zelenskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitaliy Eliseev in the 10th minute of the match. Afanasiy Fomenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Lucantoni's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Volodymyr Zelenskiy firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 19 minutes, Klim Lazarev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kovrov FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klim Lazarev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Lucantoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Volodymyr Zelenskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Lucantoni in the 21st minute of play. With a little luck, Kovrov FC's Volodymyr Zelenskiy got control of the ball when Armando Lucantoni tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Спартак booed when Kovrov FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirilo Budanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro De Michele went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Спартак's Vitaliy Eliseev to fire away a dangerous shot which Volodymyr Zelenskiy despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zinoviy Bronnikov in the 37th minute of play forced Kovrov FC's goalkeeper Volodymyr Zelenskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Спартак's Vitaliy Eliseev made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Volodymyr Zelenskiy was left in no man's land by his defense there! If German Barchukov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Спартак made a substitution. Armin Mustakivi replaced Alvaro De Michele. The wind increased when Armando Lucantoni made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Спартак's goalkeeper Aleksandr Sibirev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Proskurin in the 56th minute of play forced Спартак's goalkeeper Aleksandr Sibirev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Aleksandr Sibirev throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mark Proskurin in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Kovrov FC made a substitution. Valeriy Noskov replaced Afanasiy Fomenko. After 62 played minutes Kovrov FC got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuil Malshin. Mark Proskurins short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Aleksandr Sibirev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 65 played minutes Спартак got a freekick which was hit by Armin Mustakivi. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mark Proskurin sped through Спартак's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aleksandr Sibirev. Kovrov FC's Bogdan Muhin was substituted for Nikolay Bezukhov. Kovrov FC made a substitution. Oleg Noskov replaced Klim Lazarev. After a rather tough play, Спартак's Gerasim Ovchinnikov got a free kick in the 74th minute. Valeriy Noskov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Sibirev having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Pavel Kamorkin in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Спартак's Armin Mustakivi. When Ruslan Filonchikov fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Спартак's protests and gave Ruslan Filonchikov a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kovrov FC booed when Спартак was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruslan Filonchikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Спартак getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Vitaliy Eliseev hit a great ball. When Armin Mustakivi came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Спартак fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Mustakivi couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Kovrov FC's Emmanuil Malshin got a free kick in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
