After 9 minutes, Tony Pacheco made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Illinois Bluewaters's Roger Myles tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 13th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Myles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Silva scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Myles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Roger Myles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 93 minutes, Emmitt Benson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The New England Minas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
