An unexpectedly hard shot by Belo Alvarez in the 9th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Belo Alvarez came free, but Mao Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Lustosa. After 23 played minutes A.D. Alcorcón got a freekick which was hit by Natxo Cacheres. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Alcorcón's zone, Christian Westerstrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Christian Westerstrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save A.D. Alcorcón from getting a goal against them. Fabrício Lustosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Maurino Serena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Westerstrand in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, A.D. Alcorcón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Mayor to maneuver through the defense. When Apolinar Guijarro fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D. Alcorcón's protests and gave Apolinar Guijarro a yellow card for diving instead. 40 minutes into the game, Christian Westerstrand lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Maurino Serena. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Christian Westerstrand made the kick off in the second half. In the 67th minute Boruc Brysz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Westerstrand in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurino Serena saved A.D. Alcorcón from getting behind. Mao Zhen Hong made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Belo Alvarez sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eusebio Quijana hit a great ball. Academia Monte Gordo's Adélio Infante was substituted for Christian Westerstrand. Academia Monte Gordo's Adérito Abreu was substituted for Simon Matsson. A.D. Alcorcón made a substitution. Leroy Antunez replaced Belo Alvarez. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Eusebio Quijana hit a great ball. Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adélio Infante in the 78th minute of the match. Leroy Antunez made a great header on A.D. In the 93rd minute, Boruc Brysz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
