Branislav Velchevski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barnaba Kolba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Miguel Prosperi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Batıkan Muhsin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barnaba Kolba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Branislav Velchevski made a huge save. Barnaba Kolba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Branislav Velchevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Barnaba Kolba 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the match, Barnaba Kolba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Branislav Velchevski. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnaba Kolba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Korkutalp Bektaş was substituted for Christer Winther. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Francis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Elpidio Francis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 54 minutes Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miguel Prosperi who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Miguel Prosperi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin did a great save. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algitas Jokubaitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Elpidio Francis scored 2-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Batıkan Muhsin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Venancio Estavan was substituted for Miguel Prosperi. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Venancio Havier hit a great ball. Hasan Tahsin Polatalp took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Branislav Velchevski. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Bonifacio Suarez got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Rafael Dalmu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Estavan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
