The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ciro Ferdinand hit a great ball. Moisés Arruda made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Marcos Berdoi sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Şevket Çağa got free with Moisés Arruda in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 15th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Moisés Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Carneiro in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Poetass FC's Moisés Arruda got control of the ball when Şevket Çağa tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 24th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Moisés Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Berdois short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Moisés Arruda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Şevket Çağa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Şevket Çağa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Carneiro in the 35th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, Poetass FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's Raphael Almeida sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Poetass FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciro Ferdinand was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Atlanta's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Ciro Ferdinand fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Moisés Arruda quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Berdoi to make the kick off. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was a well-played corner which Gerson Carneiro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Almeida in the 60th minute of play. If Anselmo Nevada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute of the match, Gerson Carneiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pankracy Glogowski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Pankracy Glogowski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Gerson Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Poetass FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Carneiro couldn't finish the play. Poetass FC made a substitution. João Pedro Faria replaced Gerson Carneiro. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Şevket Çağa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Eliseu Marques sent off a good shot on target. Eliseu Marques hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Şevket Çağa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Moisés Arruda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atlético Atlanta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
