Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tello AFC's Uriel Cordearo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Andrew Dalli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esmeralda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. David Banegas scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmacio Pello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Uriel Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Armani having to interfere. Dalmacio Pello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Dalli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tello AFC's Dalmacio Pello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Dalli in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Tello AFC's Pastor Nofre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Armani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Dalmacio Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Calvino in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 26 minutes, Sebastian Tauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeralda AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Tauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Lain, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. When Zülfü Sungur came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Esmeralda AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zülfü Sungur couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Uriel Cordearo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Armani was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Dalmacio Pello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Calvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrew Dalli was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Tello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Calvino came free, but Dalmacio Pello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Jorge Armani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Lain. Jorge Armani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Cordearo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 minutes of play, Tello AFC's Uriel Cordearo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Armani was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th match minute, Tello AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Osoro to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zülfü Sungur in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Pello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pastor Nofre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Jorge Armani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Lain. In the 69th minute Zülfü Sungur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Pello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Cordearo in the 70th minute of play. Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Esmeralda AFC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Tello AFC booed when Esmeralda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Matxin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esmeralda AFC's Nicasio Fonda was substituted for David Banegas. Tello AFC made a substitution. Jorge Orkatz replaced Uriel Cordearo. The crowd rose to their feet as Tello AFC's Pastor Nofre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jorge Armani. That made the score 2-3 after 77 minutes of play. Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Esmeralda AFC from getting a goal against them. Jorge Orkatz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorge Armani came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Orkatz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 95th minute. The Tello AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
