In the 3rd minute, Golden Lions FC's Simon Kvarnström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Simon Kvarnström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Golden Lions FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Simon Kvarnström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 2 minutes into the game, one of Golden Lions FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Golden Lions FC:s Jens-Ola Strömbom showed great skill when he stopped Jose Miguel Núñez:s penalty. 12 minutes into the game, Aioros FC's Jose Miguel Núñez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Ola Strömbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jens-Ola Strömbom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge-Luis Borges went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Miguel Núñez in the 22nd minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Strömbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ola Strömbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Miguel Núñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Aioros FC were awarded a corner. Yasen Skenderski went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Aioros FC's Yasen Skenderski to fire away a dangerous shot which Jens-Ola Strömbom despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nalie Brzęczyszczykiewicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cheikh Barbereau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Jorge-Luis Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Strömbom having to interfere. Jens-Ola Strömbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge-Luis Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 44 minutes, Christian Thorsberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden Lions FC and the Aioros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christian Thorsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Miguel Núñez in the 45th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Strömbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Miguel Núñez struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jens-Ola Strömbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aioros FC. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge-Luis Borges was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Lions FC's zone, Jorge-Luis Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Ola Strömbom came out of the goal and Jorge-Luis Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge-Luis Borges's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jens-Ola Strömbom firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jens-Ola Strömbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jose Miguel Núñez's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Mats Enström got a free kick in the 61st minute. With an all-out effort, Aioros FC's Jens-Ola Strömbom threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jose Miguel Núñez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mats Enström hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute of the game Sebastian Axelsson made a throw-in which Christopher Melberg played forward. If Jose Miguel Núñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Jose Miguel Núñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Strömbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Noel Sanvicente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aioros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Noel Sanvicente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Ola Strömbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Ola Strömbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Miguel Núñez in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes in the game Mats Enström did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ulrik Nyman. The crowd rose to their feet as Jose Miguel Núñez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jens-Ola Strömbom. That made the score 0-4 in the 85 minute of play. Jose Miguel Núñez might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jens-Ola Strömbom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose Miguel Núñez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute Jose Miguel Núñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Strömbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Jose Miguel Núñez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Lions FC's Jens-Ola Strömbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Aioros FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Golden Lions FC throughout the match.
