Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) North Pole Kickers's Villiam Tholsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The throw-in from Denis Gizon in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by North Pole Kickers's Gösta Ekgren. A collision led to independiente getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Bernardo Gombal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Jan Wallman managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Pole Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Wallman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliciano Soin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Insigne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Pole Kickers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave independiente the free kick. Lorenzo Insigne kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Folke Bure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emánuel Borsó in the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in independiente's zone, Villiam Tholsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliciano Soin came out of the goal and Villiam Tholsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of independiente booed when North Pole Kickers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Insigne didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Angelino Cucao fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored independiente's protests and gave Angelino Cucao a yellow card for diving instead. Angelino Cucao hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Villiam Tholsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Feliciano Soin made a huge save. After some careless play in the North Pole Kickers defense, Emánuel Borsó kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Folke Bure. The North Pole Kickers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Bure should have stopped the shot. North Pole Kickers's Villiam Tholsson got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes of play, independiente's Emánuel Borsó made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Folke Bure was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilberto Tello charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilberto Tello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of North Pole Kickers booed when independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. independiente's Feliciano Soin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save independiente from getting a goal against them. 45 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Arsenio Soter came free, but Folke Bure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emánuel Borsó fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Bure having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emánuel Borsó made a kick off. Arsenio Soter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Villiam Tholsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Villiam Tholsson came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the North Pole Kickers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Villiam Tholsson couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Gombal's late challenge caught a North Pole Kickers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Gombal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Bernardo Gombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Villiam Tholsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play, independiente's Emánuel Borsó made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Folke Bure was left in no man's land by his defense there! Feliciano Soin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timmy Lindblom in the 71st minute of play. North Pole Kickers's Gösta Ekgren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Denis Gizon, made in the 76th minute of the game. Feliciano Soin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villiam Tholsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Villiam Tholsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Pole Kickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villiam Tholsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of North Pole Kickers booed when independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Gombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. independiente's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
