Tomás Feliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Bridgeworth having to interfere. Niceto Cuartio lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 17th minute, Niceto Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Niccolo Otamendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Urdaspal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barreal FC's Nicolas-Gabriel Otamendi got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreal FC's goalkeeper Edgard Urdaspal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Carlisle United getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nial Messenger hit a great ball. Tomás Feliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34thth minute of the game Calvin Townsley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barreal FC's Edgard Urdaspal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Barreal FC's Tomás Feliu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Edgard Urdaspal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harri Kaine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calvin Townsley was the one to do the kick off. Calvin Townsley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Edgard Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calvin Townsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Townsley in the 55th minute of play forced Barreal FC's goalkeeper Edgard Urdaspal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartolo Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barreal FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Carlisle United's Niccolo Otamendi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgard Urdaspal. Thomas-Jan Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Edgard Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harri Kaine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Edgard Urdaspal made a huge save. Edgard Urdaspal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calvin Townsley in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Honorio Efraim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Bridgeworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlisle United were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Barreal FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niccolo Otamendi took the corner. The corner led Carlisle United's Calvin Townsley to fire away a dangerous shot which Edgard Urdaspal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Barreal FC booed when Carlisle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Marriott didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goalkeeper Edgard Urdaspal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harri Kaine. Niccolo Otamendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Edgard Urdaspal made a huge save. Edgard Urdaspal made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Thomas-Jan Thomas sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Calvin Townsley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgard Urdaspal, 0-4. Carlisle United made a substitution. Russ Blain replaced Trey Hughes-Guy. When Calvin Townsley got free in front of the goal in the 98th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Edgard Urdaspal was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Carlisle United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
