German Smirnov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Prata in the 10th minute of play. Afonso Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ívan Poddubnyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Paraense in the 15th minute of play forced WWW LENINGRAD's goalkeeper German Smirnov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, José Vítor Prata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. German Smirnov was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Brazil Academy's Afonso Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ívan Poddubnyi in the 25th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Brazil Academy's José Vítor Prata made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Smirnov was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute José Vítor Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Smirnov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Smirnov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Prata in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, WWW LENINGRAD's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Prata came free, but German Smirnov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto-Carlos Neymar struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. German Smirnov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brazil Academy. After the first half Brazil Academy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

José Vítor Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. German Smirnov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Zurita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, José Vítor Prata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. German Smirnov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Rafinha de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg German Smirnov managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Brazil Academy's José Vítor Prata fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roberto-Carlos Neymar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. German Smirnov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Prata who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of German Smirnov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Brazil Academy's Nando Quadros in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye WWW LENINGRAD's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Vítor Prata got free with German Smirnov in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 played minutes WWW LENINGRAD got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Zurita. Roberto-Carlos Neymars short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got German Smirnov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roberto-Carlos Neymar had several of the WWW LENINGRAD's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed German Smirnov as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, José Vítor Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brazil Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Smirnov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. German Smirnov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Vítor Prata went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Brazil Academy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
