After a defensive mix-up in the mills's zone, Jean-Baptiste Lasogga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zilar Presedo came out of the goal and Jean-Baptiste Lasogga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Jader Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. the mills's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jader Duran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, the mills's goal looked a bit too open when Lacy Lybecker came free, but Zilar Presedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zilar Presedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Baptiste Lasogga in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of the mills booed when Vorwärts Lübeck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nat Bukschat didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Harry Styles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cuarto Charro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Ronny Jarstein, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Jean-Baptiste Lasogga made the kick off in the second half. After 93 played minutes, the mills's Otsoko Parada shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronny Jarstein came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in the mills reached it. Ronny Jarstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jader Duran, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. the mills had played much better football throughout.
