When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Ignacio Cuadrillero got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Acácio Linhares.

Cántaro Viladrosa hit a great ball. After 91 played minutes, Club Athletico Paulistano's Cléberson Freitas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chatruc Oro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Athletico Paulistano reached it. Acácio Linhares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Castillo went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-2 was the resulting score.
