Gillis Heirremans came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Fribourg's Raik Topuz. But to his dismay, Raik Topuz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Raik Topuz scored 0-6 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gillis Heirremans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gillis Heirremans came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Fribourg's Medero Gadea. But to his dismay, Medero Gadea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. A collision led to Lions United getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mathieu-Maxim Claessens hit a great ball.

Olympique Fribourg's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Savion was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gillis Heirremans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olympique Fribourg's Salomo Montandon was substituted for Dany Wiesenberg. Gillis Heirremans was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Medero Gadea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 64 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Téo Savion got free with Gillis Heirremans in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 0-12 when Raik Topuz sped through Lions United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gillis Heirremans.
